1. Can you describe your career path?
I started my career as a Junior Account Manager in one of the biggest IT companies in Croatia, where I started to understand the essence of Sales in IT. With my enthusiasm and the results I was achieving, I began to get more responsibilities regarding clients and products and was promoted to the position of Account Manager.
After that, I was in charge of the entire financial and retail market for a B2C company focused on transaction technologies in Central and Eastern Europe.
From there on, I moved to one of the largest IBM partners in the Croatian market and was in charge of selling IBM products for the whole Croatian market.
Now I am the sales director at Pontis Technology. My main goal here is to position Pontis Technology as one of the main partners for software development and products in the Croatian market.
2. What do you like the most about Pontis?
The first and most important thing for me is sharing the same values with my colleagues, and that is something that I have in Pontis. Other than that, working at Pontis allows me to show my full potential in Sales.
3. What advice can you give to young people, striving to become experts in the field of sales?
I will use a quote from The Founder movie:
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent won’t; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius won’t; unrewarded genius is practically a cliché. Education won’t; the world is full of educated fools. Persistence and determination alone are all-powerful.”
The advice would then be: Believe in yourself and be persistent!
4. What is your favourite free time activity?
Spending time with my family and watching football matches. I am a big fan of Hajduk Split!
